Our Tech Spark educator will be taking you through an empowering hands-on workshop for women of colour interested in learning how to code. This event is beginner-friendly! All we ask is that you come willing and excited to learn. This event is a BYOD - bring your own device. Laptops will only be provided to those in need.

You will learn:

HTML fundamentals
CSS fundamentals
How to build a multipage website from scratch

Black Women Learning UX Design

This highly creative workshop is for anyone wanting to learn how to design an app prototype for their business. This event is beginner friendly! You will leave the event with a design ready for development. All events are BYOD - bring your own device. Laptops will only be provided to those in need.

You will learn:

5-Step design process
How to identify the user problem your app will solve
How to create clickable prototypes of your app
How to select the right revenue model for your app

Black Women Learning Blockchain

During this event you'll dive into cryptocurrency (more specifically Bitcoin) and its potential to be the next black wealth creator. All events are BYOD - bring your own device. Laptops will only be provided to those in need.

You will learn:

What's the hype? Why is cryptocurrency a disruptor to the financial industry?
Why is cryptocurrency important to the black community, specifically?
How does cryptocurrency affect our future and why should I care?
Who controls cryptocurrency? How is it valued?
What are ICOs and how can I raise cryptocurrency for my start-up?
How can I engage with cryptocurrency today?
